A full exterior repaint of a two-storey weatherboard character home a few streets back from Sumner beach.
The whole house was taken to a crisp, soft white, with the weatherboards, window frames, eaves, exposed rafter tails and the multi-pane sunroom all finished in the same clean tone, and a dark grey on the base boards.
Work included a full wash and sand of the existing paintwork and priming of any weathered timber before the top coats. The eaves and rafter ends were brushed by hand, we worked from scaffold along the narrow side boundaries to reach the upper-storey boards, and the sunroom windows were cut in pane by pane to keep the glazing bars sharp.
The main focus of this job:
A uniform white finish across every surface of a home with a lot of detail: rafter tails, mouldings, multi-pane windows and eaves that all needed careful brushwork.
