A full exterior repaint of a two-storey weatherboard villa on Idris Road.
The owners wanted a classic, warm scheme that sits well with the neighbouring character homes: a soft stone tone on the weatherboards, bright white on the window joinery, sills and verandah posts, and a dark charcoal on the fascia, guttering and base boards for contrast.
The existing paintwork was washed down, sanded back and spot-primed before two top coats went on. The bay windows and multi-pane upper sashes were cut in by hand, and the verandah and French doors at the rear were finished to match the rest of the house.
The main focus of this job:
Sharp, clean lines where the white trims meet the stone weatherboards, and a durable finish on the weather-facing north and west walls.
